Romancing the Heavens: Some Ways of Connecting with the Fixed Stars

This free class is a comprehensive overview of the myriad ways to learn about the fixed stars.
There are many ways to approach the stars. From reading and scholarship to stargazing and ritual, these nocturnal beings seem most alive when we are connecting with them directly.
Working with the stars has changed my life in immeasurable ways.
The more I’ve studied them, the more I understand that their complex magnitude is meant to be experienced directly.
I want you to have a taste of their power too.
Last month, I had the honor and privilege of sharing the contours of my stellar practice with other astrologers and magicians at Northstar Campout and I am so excited to give those who couldn’t attend a taste of the stars :)

Though these tips can be applied to all the stars in the sky, as well as planets, even plant spirits, I will be primarily focusing on Vega, star of the Lyre constellation, to ground my teachings in a concrete example. In addition to sharing the knowledge I’ve gathered through my own relationship with her, I will walk you through all the ways I draw her into my life and come to understand her more deeply. You will have the chance to connect with this powerful, enchanting star yourself and gain guidance on building your own stellar practice.
At the end, I will lead an optional guided meditation with Vega, complete with harp accompaniment, to give you a taste of what communing with the stars directly is like. There will be time for discussion of our gnosis afterwards.
This lecture is going to give you a taste of how I write my fixed star essays, approach the writing of my book on the Behenian Stars (coming out next year with Weiser), conduct fixed star consults and how the stars impact my life directly.
